OEM/ODM
OEM means we build to your specification and put your brand on it. ODM means we develop the product and you private-label it, often with light customization. Both are common in furniture sourcing — the difference is who owns the design risk.
If you already have engineered drawings or a reference sample, OEM is faster and lower-risk. If you want to launch a collection without a design team, ODM gets you to market in weeks, not months.
For most first-time European importers, a hybrid works best: start with an ODM base model, then iterate dimensions, fabric, and packaging into a differentiated OEM line as volumes grow.
